Privacy policy
Solos removes strangers from the background of your photos. To do that we need to process the photo you choose. This page explains what data we handle, why, and for how long.
Who is responsible
SERIMAG MEDIA, S.L. (trading as Serimag), tax ID (CIF) B64437791, registered office at Carrer de Frederic Mompou, 5, Edifici Euro 3, planta 6, puertas 1-2 B, 08960 Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona), Spain. Registered in the Barcelona Commercial Registry, Volume 39260, Folio 199, Section 8, Sheet B 343419. Contact: hola@trysolos.app.
What data we handle
- The photos you choose. Only the ones you upload, never your whole library. They may show people.
- A random device identifier created by the app to count your free photos and credits. It is not your name, your email or your advertising identifier.
- Your purchases (which pack and when). Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Minimal technical data (IP address and server logs) to run the service and prevent abuse.
No sign-up, no advertising and no tracking across apps.
What we use it for
- Finding the people in the photo, suggesting who the subject is and filling in the background where the others were.
- Keeping track of your free photos and the credits you buy.
- Protecting the service against abuse.
We do not use face recognition: Solos doesn't identify anyone and doesn't store biometric data. To repeat your choice on similar photos we compare clothing colours, not faces. We do not use your photos to train models.
Who we share it with
Photos are sent to our server and to external AI providers to process them. These providers act on our behalf:
- fal (fal.ai, a company headquartered in the United States; processing on servers in Europe): finds the people and fills in the background.
- Anthropic (a company headquartered in the United States; processing on servers in Europe): receives a reduced copy of the photo, with the people numbered, to suggest who the subject is.
- Our hosting provider, with servers in Europe.
- Apple, if you buy a pack.
If a provider, because it is headquartered outside the European Economic Area, could access the data from outside it, that transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, depending on the provider.
How long we keep it
- Photos and results: deleted from our server as soon as you save the photo to your library and, if you don't save it, at most 24 hours after upload. The app keeps a copy of the result only on your phone, which you can delete at any time.
- Repeating your choice: the app stores on your phone a fingerprint of the clothing colours of whoever stays (not their face: it is not biometric data). It is not stored on our servers, expires the next day, and you can delete it instantly.
- Device identifier, balance and purchases: while you use Solos and as long as the law requires (for example, tax obligations).
Legal basis
Providing the service you ask for (GDPR art. 6.1.b) and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (art. 6.1.f).
Cookies and analytics
This website uses no cookies and no analytics tools, neither our own nor third-party. Fonts are served from this same site, without connecting to external services.
People in your photos
If you upload photos of other people, you must have the right to do so. Solos only processes them to remove or keep whoever you choose, and never identifies them.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to hola@trysolos.app. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.
Children
Solos is not intended for children under 14.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and let you know if the change is significant.
